Looking Forward - Part 2
Aloma’s surgeon announced that her fracture was healing nicely and she could begin weight bearing. Her physical therapist gave instructions on how to use her new crutches and she discarded the walker. As her life changes, so does mine.
I no longer need to:
Help her shower or bath
Serve food to her in the recliner
Get her pills ready
Help her dress
Keep her glass filled with fresh water
Watch her 24/7 which frees me up to go the store or run errands
She has taken herself off of Oxycodone, so now she can read and (soon) drive a car.
Finally, I can look forward to our trip to Florida.
